After several decades of private and public sector leadership service, Rob Weinhold continued his career mission of helping organizations during critical times by launching Fallston Group in 2009. Fallston Group is a Baltimore-based firm designed to build, strengthen and defend reputations each and every day. Throughout his distinguished career, Rob has worked on the core executive leadership team at all three levels of government and privately on Cal Ripken Jr.’s core executive team in Baltimore, Maryland where he oversaw all aspects of Cal’s core business. It was in this role that Rob was responsible for sales, public relations and marketing, business development, sponsorships, customer experience, design/build and operations.
During his public service career, Rob most notably served in a sworn capacity for the Baltimore Police Department and was ultimately promoted to Public Affairs Director. He also served as Chief of Staff for the United States Department of Justice and senior executive within Maryland’s Governor’s Office. While in these roles, Rob also served as chief spokesperson for the entities he represented; he has conducted thousands of media interviews and is thought of as an expert communications strategist. He has provided formal media training to countless executives and spokespeople.
Rob Weinhold maintains extensive experience in the areas of executive leadership, organizational strategy, crisis management and communications, marketing, business management and operations. His clients often refer to Rob as their CRO—Chief Reputation Officer—as he operates at the critical intersection of leadership, strategy and communications. Rob has been routinely recognized for his unique ability to lead by creating vision and building consensus across diverse stakeholder bases, even during the most sensitive of times. This skill-set has allowed him to grow and develop brands while creating heightened levels of awareness for both individuals and organizations while advancing their business goals. He is routinely called upon by members of the national and local news media to provide perspective on crisis leadership, public safety and communications.
Rob has provided business and leadership guidance to corporate executives, high-profile professional athletes, the U.S. Attorney General, White House domestic policy staff, U.S. Congresspersons, state governors, public safety experts and other high-ranking public service officials. Rob earned his graduate degree (MSM) from The Johns Hopkins University and undergraduate degree from the University of Baltimore. He is nationally published and has trained and lectured in a variety of professional and academic settings on the topics of crisis leadership, communications, media relations, and public safety and security.
