At PepsiCo, Bough re-imagined the company’s branding efforts and pioneered its real-time marketing strategy. He accomplished much the same as Chief Media & E-Commerce Officer at Mondelez International, building a global marketing powerhouse. At Mondelez, Bough managed more than $3 billion in media spend, making him the world’s seventh-leading media buyer. He increased digital spend more than tenfold while saving $300 million and generating $2 billion in top-line net revenue. When Bough took charge of Mondelez’s e-commerce operations, online sales grew from $65 million to $265 million in 18 months.

Along the way, Bough has transformed some of the world’s most established brands, including Oreo, Gatorade, and Cadbury’s. As Chief Growth & Marketing Officer at Sundial Brands, Bough grew business by nearly 50% in 12 months before Unilever acquired the company for almost $1 billion.

At just 33, Bough was named to Fortune’s prestigious 40 Under 40 list. Fast Company named him one of the 100 Most Creative People in Business; Ebony included him in its Power 100. He now leads Triller as its Chief Growth Officer while serving the same role at growth accelerator Bonin Ventures.

Bough is also a popular media figure. In 2016, CNBC’s Cleveland Hustles documented Bough’s efforts with LeBron James to help revitalize a Cleveland neighborhood by helping four local entrepreneurs. In the same year, his book Txt Me presented a landmark meditation on the mobile revolution.

    Bonin Bough Keynote Topics

Hackonomy 2.0 is a next-level online interactive presentation that demonstrates how to maintain business growth in a post-pandemic world. Although it might sound counter-intuitive, Bonin Bough will show that the only way to combat the economic impact of the recent COVID-19 crisis is to create value by breaking things. Whether it’s breaking from tradition, process, or simply “the way we’ve always done things” this presentation will provide tried-and-tested models that enable audiences to keep their company on a growth trajectory during this challenging time.

How do you create value by breaking things? In this hour-long* keynote presentation I take your audience on a journey to discover how they can hack their business, their way of doing things, and ultimately themselves. Most think that the word "hacker" sounds negative, but not all hackers are bad. Instead, hackers and hack-thinking are the source of a monumental, positive shift in business, technology, startups and culture all over the world. Hackers can create immense value by breaking things, whether it’s breaking from tradition, process, or simply “the way we’ve always done things.” A new hacking economy – or “hackonomy” – is spreading quickly across industries, from software to hardware, aviation to space exploration. Hacking is even changing less obvious parts of human life, like dating. And, of course, the hackonomy has a huge impact on marketing.

Talent is the single most important determinant for success. In this keynote I share my experiences from launching the world's first talent accelerator and help your audience realize their potential, utilize their strengths, and ultimately to catapult their career. I guarantee a truly life-changing experience!

How do you transform traditional formats into breakthrough communications experiences? In this keynote I share the latest experience-marketing tools and the looming trends modern communicators must embrace to engage today’s customers. You’ll hear innovative ideas and learn a new methodology guaranteed to take your visions for greater reach and ROI from fantasy to reality.

What can large brands teach small start-ups? In this presentation I share my experience from working with ten small businesses during my time as the host of CNBC's Cleveland Hustles. Find out the real stories behind the businesses featured on the hit show and inspire your attendees to apply these same growth-hacking techniques to their own brands.
