    Grant is the author of one of the most popular and widely-read financial newsletter: Things That Make You Go Hmmm….

    This financial research publication has a global readership. Over its ten year history, it has provided penetrating insights into the core issues as well as the fringes of the financial world.

    He is the co-founder of Real Vision, the world’s only video on demand channel for financial audiences. In depth interviews are available with the best known, investors, analysts as well as top geopolitical and economic experts.

    Grant is an advisor to Vulpes Investment Management in Singapore, he previously managed their Testudo Fund, and he is an advisor to Matterhorn Asset Management in Zurich. He is on the board of the Vantage Point Firebell Australian Macro Fund, a hedge fund established this year to capitalise on an the Australian property market downturn.

    Grant has more than 30 years of trading experience in Asian equity markets, beginning his career trading Japanese equities and derivatives in both London and Tokyo. Subsequently, he ran Asian equity, convertible bond and ADR/GDR trading desks in New York, Hong Kong and Singapore as well as spending several years trading Australian equities in Sydney. During that time, he spent six years with UBS and a further nine years with Credit Suisse. Later, he was Head Asian Trading for Jeffries in Singapore.

    Grant’s talks are well known for the combination of his deep market knowledge with his keen sense of history, politics and human nature. He invests a lot of time and preparation into making his talks relevant, enjoyable and memorable.

    Grant is also a seasoned and expert interviewer from his work with Real Vision, having met and moderated programmes with the best investors and thinkers in the world.
