From a medical perspective, on the front line of suffering, pain, illness, recovery and treatment, Dr. Mario Alonso Puig has produced some theories and development programs for leadership, team building and high performance in pressured environments.
In his talks he speaks about the importance of our state of mind when dealing with life’s problems in an increasingly complex world. He emphasizes the importance of searching for advantageous approaches and offering alternatives.
“We need faith and passion in order to change, not just intelligence”
According to Mario Alonso Puig, the first thing we need to do in order to adapt is to stop clinging on to the past. Giving talks and organizing seminars and training workshops has enabled him to remain closely in touch with the business world and his interests in the areas of motivation, leadership and creativity.
He is a professor in Leadership, Communication and Business Creativity on several programs at the Garrigues Center for Business Studies and Training where he demonstrates how to understand and develop essential team-leading skills.
Trained at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education, he has been researching the fundamentals of human intelligence and learning for over 20 years. Being a specialist in general and digestive surgery has led him to also apply his knowledge and experience to the world of stress and the impact it has on digestive complaints.
Mario is a Harvard University Medical School Fellow and member of the New York Academy of Sciences and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He has received the highest award of merit for Communication and Human Relations from the Dale Carnegie Institute in New York and is a consultant in surgery at Madrid’s Hospital Internacional.
His most noteworthy recent books include Ahora Yo (Now Me) and Reinventarse (Reinventing Yourself), of which there are more than 12 editions.
