Rose Director of the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History and Visiting Research Scientist and Lecturer at Princeton University. Born and raised in New York City, he realized he wanted to study space science when he was young, looking through a pair of binoculars at the moon. Visiting the Old Hayden Planetarium at the age of nine, he was first introduced to the stars. However, in Neil’s neighborhood, “being smart is not on the list of things that gets you respect,” he recalls. African-American boys were expected to be athletes, not scholars. At thirteen, he attended summer astronomy camp in the Mohave Desert. There, he could see millions of stars in the clear desert sky. Neil deGrasse Tyson was educated in the public school system and attended the Bronx High School of Science. After graduation, he went on to earn his BA in Physics from Harvard, where he also rowed on the crew team and joined the wrestling team. After earning a Master’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, he went home to New York to do his doctoral work at Columbia and earn his PhD in Astrophysics from Columbia University. After earning his doctorate, Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson has worked as an astrophysicist and research scientist at Princeton University, as a columnist for Stardate magazine, and, from 1996, as the first occupant of the Frederick P. Rose Directorship of the Hayden Planetarium in New York City (the youngest director in the long history of the planetarium). His association with Princeton continues, where he is a Visiting Research Scientist in astrophysics and also teaches.Dr. Tyson published the first of six books on astronomy and astrophysics in 1988. His research interests include star formation, exploding stars, dwarf galaxies, and the structure of our Milky Way. To conduct his research, he uses telescopes all over the world as well as the Hubble Space Telescope. He has also continued to write prolifically for the public, including a series of essays in Natural History magazine as well as the books One Universe: At Home in the Cosmos (coauthored with Charles Liu and Robert Irion) and a Q&A book on the universe for all ages titled Just Visiting This Planet. One Universe: At Home in the Cosmos was the winner of the 2001 American Institute of Physics Science Writing Award to a Scientist. His most recent book was a memoir, The Sky is Not the Limit: Adventures of an Urban Astrophysicist. In 2001, He was appointed by President Bush to serve on a 12-member commission that studied the Future of the US Aerospace Industry. In 2004, Dr. Tyson was once again appointed by President Bush to serve on a 9-member commission on the Implementation of the United States Space Exploration Policy, dubbed the Moon, Mars, and Beyond commission. Recommendations from this group formed the foundation for President Bush’s new space vision.Dr. Tysons contributions to the public appreciation of the cosmos were recently recognized by the International Astronomical Union in their official naming of asteroid 13123 Tyson.Dr. Tyson has been a frequent guest on The Daily Show, The Colbert Report and Real Time with Bill Maher. Since 2009, he has hosted the weekly radio show StarTalk. In 2014, Tyson began hosting FOX’s minseries Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, an update to Carl Sagan’s Cosmos: A Personal Voyage (1980) television series. She’s an expert in cultivating company culture, creating customer-centric organizations, developing leaders, scaling the workforce, and innovating within HR.Most recently, Beth spent six years at Tesla leading Learning & Development as the company grew from 600 to 33,000 employees. Her primary responsibility was evangelizing company culture to protect it from being diluted by rapid growth. She started at Tesla in manufacturing. When she joined, the factory was an empty shell that needed to be transformed in less than one year into a high-quality car manufacturing facility. Beth’s role was to build out the training to support factory-wide operations. Her responsibilities expanded to include onboarding new hires across the organization, sales and delivery training, leadership development, compliance training, ongoing employee development, and learning infrastructure. In spite of having minimal budget and a small team, she developed and executed a comprehensive, innovative strategy that brought learning to people in all roles around the world.Prior to Tesla, Beth was part of a small team at Microsoft that conceived and developed its retail concept, growing the operation from 0-15 stores in 18 months. As the Customer Experience Director, she created customer service standards for the stores and all the training required to launch the new retail operation.Beth also played a critical role in the growth of Apple. In 2003, when the company was reemerging from the brink of death, Beth joined the HR team as the head of leadership development. In 2005, she moved to the retail team and became the head of training for the retail stores worldwide.Ensuring new store teams could deliver customer service that met Apple’s tough standards was one of Beth’s key responsibilities. Her team played a critical role in the expansion of Apple stores, training over 100 new store teams in the US and in new markets across Europe, Asia and Australia.A highlight of her time at Apple came in 2007, when iPhone was first introduced to the world. Given Apple’s secretive nature, training couldn’t be released in the retail stores until the last minute – she had just two hours before the doors opened and sales began to teach over 4,000 people everything they needed to know about this revolutionary product! No one knew then how much iPhone would change the world.Beth earned a bachelor’s degree at Indiana University and a law degree from Stanford Law School. In 2017, McKinsey & Company invited her to join the Consortium for Advancing Adult Learning & Development, a select group of 40 thought leaders. That same year, Indiana University named her a Luminary as a distinguished Alumna, an honor bestowed on just 12 people before her.Beth is a highly engaging speaker. Her talks are filled with stories and lessons from her career and offer practical advice delegates can take back to their companies. Among his greatest achievements include the execution of complex negotiations resulting in signed agreements with THE BEATLES and MICHAEL JACKSON’s estate. Cirque du Soleil’s production of ‘LOVE’ based on THE BEATLES’ music is the only live show ever agreed to by the iconic group. The celebration of Michael Jackson’s life and work ‘ONE’ was produced after competing with other entertainment giants who had established relationships with Michael Jackson’s estate. Both accomplishments required outstanding business skills to be brought to the fore.Daniel Lamarre’s outlook is resolutely international, but his roots are firmly in his tiny home town of Grand-Mère, Quebec, Canada. This strong sense of self and values is fundamental to how Daniel does business, but it is also a source of great personal satisfaction. Daniel has a close bond with his parents, Gilles and Pauline. His Dad helped him get his first job on a newspaper at 16 after all!Daniel’s strength is his ability to marry the needs of disparate groups and interests, finding positive solutions and outcomes for all. A skill he has fine-tuned throughout his career, with TVA Broadcast Group, NATIONAL Public Relations, and Burson Marsteller. In 2012 he collaborated on the creation of C2MTL Conference, a one-of-a-kind coming together of the creative and business elite of the world. It is a platform for exploring creative answers to commercial questions. In line with his belief that without creativity, there is no commerce. He has been honoured with Doctorates from McGill University, and his alma mater the University of Ottawa. That was all it took to spark his curiosity and desire to know everything about the laws that govern the universe, leading him to return to school, earn a PhD, and by 35, he was an engineer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratories. For 10 years, Steltzner led a team of engineers inventing, designing, testing and retesting the revolutionary “sky crane” landing system that successfully placed the Mars rover, Curiosity on the Martian surface in 2012. Five times heavier than its predecessors, Curiosity required an entirely new landing system for the perilous 7-minute phase when the one-ton rover—entering Martian atmosphere at 13,000 mph—must stop fully on the surface. Since then, he’s been awarded honors ranging from the Smithsonian’s American Ingenuity Award in technology, to GQ magazine’s Spaceman of the Year. With a unique, exciting and inspiring narrative, Steltzner discusses the power of human curiosity, the importance of fostering a culture of collaborative innovation and proves that with the “Right Kind of Crazy,” we can significantly expand boundaries and achieve the impossible. His insight and journey are captured in his book, The Right Kind of Crazy: A True Story of Teamwork, Leadership and High Stakes Innovation, released in 2016. Innovation and technology are the two highest-demand areas for expert speakers. Thanks to the rise of technology-based solutions In so many economic sectors, clear vision and reliable answers on these topics are increasingly important for a wide variety of sectors and industries. It is absolutely necessary to stand out from the competition when you’re working in a climate characterized by constant change, and that means innovating if you don’t want to be left behind.

Innovation requires the right conditions. Even the best ideas need to be incubated in the proper surroundings. Negative factors like a high-stress working environment, obsolete systems and technology, or strictly hierarchical corporate structures can inhibit growth and prevent new plans from coming to fruition.

What’s more, thanks to foundational networked and digital technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality, innovation is available to everyone. No longer the exclusive territory of large-scale organizations, it is increasingly being used as a tool by start-ups and SMEs, and its power is allowing them to take on giants. In the past, Fortune 500 companies remained on the list for more than half a century, on average. Today, their life expectancy has fallen to less than two decades.

You need to stay ahead of the game. That means you need to hear from the leading minds on innovation and technology, and Aurum Bureau is here to help. Our speakers are capable of transforming any company or organization, and of providing it with a clear roadmap and specific examples adapted to the reality of the market they work in.

JB Straubel is CTO and co-founder of Tesla, which was named the most innovative company in the world by Forbes. Who better to point the way into the future?

Or maybe you want to know the secrets of Google X, the company’s long-term R&D branch that takes on moonshot projects—innovative approaches to solving humanity’s great problems. If so, we can help you get Mo Gawdat, Google X’s former Chief Business Officer, to give you and your organization practical guidelines for creating a culture of innovation.

Then again, you might be looking for the extraordinary Peter Diamandis, who many consider the leading speaker on innovation. He’s the CEO of XPRIZE, co-founder of the Singularity University, and author of two best sellers on exponential technologies.

We understand the importance and timeliness of these topics. That’s why our portfolio of speakers on innovation and technology is so broad, full of speakers with very specific profiles and exceptional credentials, all of them ready to elevate your event.
